Pistoia

Pistoia

Pistoia is crossed by several rivers, although none of them large, characterized by a regime of torrentizio. The largest of these rivers is the Ombrone Pistoiese that can tap to the west of the city. In its course, arrived in the district of San Biagio, Ombrone Pistoiese presents clear waters and clean, capable of hosting even valuable fish species such as sea trout, vairone and scazzone. Its scope during the summer seasons suffers a huge reduction caused mainly by indiscriminate levies for agricultural purposes, risking to stay dry for several months. Among other waterways are present torrent Brana, who bagnale walls of the city north-east.
